Privacy Policy

Glintspire ("we", "us") sets out below how information is handled in "Glintspire" (the "App"), the smartphone game application we provide. This document is referred to as this "Policy".

1. Basic policy

The App is an application with no dedicated server. There is no account registration or sign-in, and we do not directly collect personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or email address from users, nor store it on any equipment we control.

However, the App embeds third-party services (described below) for advertising and in-app purchases. Those services collect certain information from your device under their own privacy policies.

2. Information collected and how

2-1. Information we collect directly

None. The App implements no processing that sends user-identifying information to any server of ours. No connection is required to play.

2-2. Information collected by third-party services

The following services embedded in the App collect information from your device.

The App does not embed analytics tools, crash reporting tools, social login or push notifications.

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following information only on your device. It is never transmitted outside the device.

• Game progress such as cleared stages, points earned, highest height reached, number of plays and PERFECT count
• The selected color theme, block shape, and display language
• The expiry date of the "Remove ads for 1 week" purchase
• Which block shapes have been unlocked
• A device-specific key used to detect tampering with the above, and timestamps observed to judge expiry

This data is stored in the Keychain on iOS and in encrypted storage on Android, and is additionally signed with a key generated per device. This is to prevent unauthorized modification by third parties; it does not give us any ability to read the contents.

4. Advertising

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. There are three kinds:

• Banner ads shown at the top and bottom of the screen
• A video (rewarded) ad played when you choose "Watch an ad to continue" after a game over
• A full-screen (interstitial) ad shown when you advance to the first stage of a new level

Google and other third-party ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies (such as advertising identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior access history. While the "Remove ads for 1 week" purchase is active, none of the three ad types above are displayed, and no advertising-related information is collected during that period.

5. In-app purchases

Payment for the App's in-app purchases ("Remove ads for 1 week" and the per-shape "Unlock a block shape") is processed through the store mechanisms provided by Apple or Google. Payment details such as credit card numbers are handled by each store and are never received or stored by us.

Once a purchase completes, the App records only the expiry date or the unlocked state on your device. We have no mechanism that would let us know who purchased, or when.

Because purchase state is not held outside your device, neither the ad-free entitlement nor a shape unlock carries over if you change devices, reinstall the App, or reset the device. Both are time-limited items, and the App has no "Restore purchases" feature.

6. Purposes of use

Information collected in connection with the App is used only for the following purposes.

• Serving ads and measuring impressions and interactions (by third-party ad providers)
• Detecting and preventing invalid clicks and abuse (by third-party ad providers)
• Processing in-app purchase payments and delivering purchased content (by each store)
• Saving game progress and purchase state (entirely on your device)
• Responding to inquiries (only when you contact us)

7. Provision to third parties

We hold no information about users, and therefore do not provide any to third parties. Collection of information by the third-party services described in Sections 2 and 4 is carried out by those providers on their own responsibility.

This does not apply where disclosure is requested under applicable law, or where it is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person and obtaining that person's consent is difficult.

8. Retention period and deletion

Game progress and the ad-free expiry date stored on your device are deleted when you uninstall the App. There is no need to request deletion from us.

Retention periods and deletion procedures for information collected by third-party services follow each provider's privacy policy.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not designed for any specific age group and is not a child-directed app.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian concerned that information about your child may have been collected through a third-party service, please contact us at the address in Section 15.

10. Security measures

Data stored on your device uses the encrypted storage provided by the OS (iOS: Keychain, Android: encrypted internal storage). It is additionally signed with a key generated per device, and the App is designed to detect modification of that data and reset it when detected.

However, we cannot guarantee security in environments where the OS protection mechanisms themselves have been disabled, such as rooted or jailbroken devices.

11. International transfers

The advertising providers described in Section 4 and the store operators may process information on servers located outside Japan. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for how they handle such transfers.

12. Rights of California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Users residing in California have the right to request disclosure and deletion of personal information collected about them, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

We do not sell personal information. Regarding the handling of information for advertising, please contact the relevant ad provider, or disable personalized ads in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

13. App permissions

The permissions the App requests, and what they are used for, are as follows.

The App does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or storage.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy in line with changes in law, changes to the App, or changes to the third-party services it uses. The revised content takes effect from the time it is posted on this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice in the App or in the store release notes.
